James Bracey

James Bracey has quickly risen through the ranks, becoming one of Australia’s leading voices on Sport.

Since joining the team at Nine in 2016, James is now the main anchor for the network’s highest rating sports coverage – including the NRL, State of Origin and Grand Final, along with The Presidents Cup and the Australian Open. He is the leading sports anchor for Nine News. 

During his thirteen-year stint at Sky News, James hosted the very popular SportsNight evening show and covered three Summer Olympic games (Beijing, London & Rio de Janeiro), two Winter Olympic Games (Vancouver & Sochi), the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, as well as the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. 

James has a young daughter who was diagnosed with T1D in 2021 at 2 years old. Since this time, James and his wife Margot have passionately driven awareness of T1D in the broader public including a well-received interview that James held with German professional tennis player Alexander Zverev, who has T1D also. The JDRF Night of Champ1ons concept was created by James and his colleague and friend Alex Rolls (who also has a child with T1D) with the aim to not only grow awareness for T1D but to make a significant funding impact to diabetes research. 

David Campbell

David Campbell co-hosts TODAY Extra alongside Sylvia Jeffreys. He is also seen each year co-hosting Carols by Candlelight for the 9Network. David is one of Australia’s most popular and versatile entertainers.

David is one of Australia’s most popular and versatile entertainers. A proven television and radio host, he also headlines theatre, cabaret and concert performances, as well as being an ARIA winning, multi-platinum recording artist. He is the recipient of multiple industry awards including Helpmann, Green Room , Sydney Theatre Critic and ARIA awards. David was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia as part of The Queen’s Birthday 2019 Honours List for Service to Entertainment and the Arts. And in 2020, he received the Adelaide Cabaret Festival Icon Award, which acknowledges pioneering and leading figures who have had a significant impact on the Australian Cabaret industry. For radio, David presents his own top rating, national weekend afternoon radio show on Smooth FM and in print, David is a regular featured columnist for Stellar magazine. David is one of our leading musical theatre stars and has achieved similar success on the international stage, most notably captivating New York with his award-winning cabaret show.  

Rob Palmer

Diagnosed with T1D at seven years old, it’s abundantly clear Rob hasn’t let diabetes get in the way of living life to the fullest. Rob is a breakfast radio host for 107.7 Triple M Central Coast, but before that he presented the DIY segment on Better Homes and Gardens for 15 years.

He is a long-term support of JDRF and has been MC for the JDRF One Walk and Gala events on many occasions, as well as supporting the T1D community through JDRF Type One Summit and community events across the country. 

Matt Shirvington

Matt is an Australian athlete and television presenter who held the Australian 100m national sprint title from 1998 to 2002. Shirvington is currently co-host of the Seven Network’s breakfast television program Sunrise.

Shirvington is the third fastest Australian sprinter of all time. He qualified for the 100m semi-finals in Sydney 2000, finishing 5th.

Wayne Pearce OAM

Wayne is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer and coach. An athletic lock for the Balmain Tigers, he was known as Junior.

Pearce represented New South Wales in the State of Origin Series as well as the Australian national rugby league team. In 2001, he founded ‘Wayne Pearce Advantage’ and established this as Australia’s Peak Performance Facilitator. In 2008, Pearce was named in the list of Australia’s 100 Greatest Players.  

Will Freedman

Will is a horse trainer, and son of the respected media personality and trainer Richard Freedman.

Will is the founder of Freedman Training, the thoroughbred racehorse training organisation he runs with his father Richard. Based at Rosehill Gardens, they are one of the leading stables in the country.

Will has been involved with horses such as 2021 Golden Slipper Stay Inside, Inglis Millennium winner Prime Star, on top of Richard’s affiliation with the Freedman Brothers who have raced more than 100 Group 1 winners including Makybe Diva and Super Impose.

Brooke Boney

Brooke Boney is TODAY’s Entertainment Reporter.

With a background in political journalism, having previously worked for National Indigenous Television (NITV), SBS and the ABC, Brooke joins the TODAY Show after her role as Triple J’s weekday morning news presenter.

Peter Stefanovic

Peter Stefanovic joined the network in 2004 as a reporter for Nine News and ACA, and later became a foreign correspondent based in Nine’s Los Angeles and London bureaus.

In 2012, he reported from Gaza City during its week long conflict with Israel, under threat from heavy artillery and rocket attacks. Peter has reported many headline stories from the ground and right across Europe including the London riots, the massacre in Norway, the Eurozone crisis, elections in Russia, Greece, France, and Italy, Britain’s phone hacking scandal, and the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Sylvia Jeffreys

Sylvia Jeffreys is an A Current Affair reporter, 9 News Watch host on Facebook, and former News Presenter for TODAY.

She has quickly established herself as one of the most versatile members of the Nine Network’s top-rating news and current affairs team. A trained journalist, Queensland-born Sylvia launched her television career with Nine in Brisbane, her reports, including her coverage of the devastating 2010-2011 Queensland floods, which claimed 38 lives, and the highly-powerful and destructive tropical Cyclone Yasi in early 2011, winning high praise from the network.

Scott Cam

Scott Cam has hosted The Block since 2010, and to quote him, it’s “never a drag”.

“I love the building industry and I love my trade. That’s what’s great about the series,” he says. “Yeah, we’re doing a TV show, but I also get to work in the field I love. I get to see construction happening and the progress of a building taking shape.”

The Scott Cam origin story is the stuff of TV legend: he was “discovered” while enjoying a beer at the pub in 1999 and eventually talked into doing a screen test for Nine’s reality series, Backyard Blitz.

Never in his wildest dreams did he think he’d still be in television 19 years later, having worked on some of Australia’s biggest renovation-reality shows, including Random Acts of Kindness, Renovation Rescue, Reno Rumble and The Block.

Gus Worland

Gus is an Australian television and radio personality.

He worked on Triple M breakfast radio from 2009 to 2019 and a series of reality television programs Man Up on the ABC, An Aussie Goes Barmy, An Aussie Goes Bolly and An Aussie Goes Calypso which aired on Fox8. Gus is now a regular for the Nine Network on Sports Sunday, Today, and Weekend Today as an expert panellist and host. Gus is a prolific keynote speaker and speaks to audiences of all demographics from all over Australia.

Brad Fittler

Brad “Freddy” Fittler is an Australian rugby league commentator, television presenter, and former player.

Fittler is the current head coach of the New South Wales State of Origin team. In 2008, he was named among the finest rugby league footballers of the first century of rugby league in Australia.[4] Fittler captained both New South Wales and Australia, and in 2000 was awarded the Golden Boot. He retired as the most-capped New South Wales State of Origin player, inducted into the NSWRL Hall of Fame and third-most-capped Australian international player. Fittler won two Rugby League World Cups as a team captain; he captained the Kangaroos to victory in both the 1995 and 2000 finals, and was also a member of the victorious 1992 team.

Greg Inglis

A once in a generation talent, Greg Inglis burst onto the scene as a skinny teenager with the Storm in 2005 and retired from the NRL in 2019 as a legend.

Such was his skill, he excelled in multiple positions – winning his first Clive Churchill Medal at five-eighth in 2007 and dominating for Queensland and Australia at centre.

But it was arguably as a fullback that he ascended to the pinnacle of his career, propelling the Rabbitohs to a drought-breaking premiership in 2014.

The image of Inglis, an Indigenous leader, celebrating scoring the final try in that grand final against the Bulldogs with his trademark ‘Goanna’ crawl is etched into the game’s folklore. Injuries hampered the latter stages of the champion player’s time in the NRL, but he still produced breathtaking moments of brilliance.

More than two years after his final Telstra Premiership match, Inglis made his UK Super League debut for Warrington after coming out of retirement for a swansong season.

Sonny Bill Williams

Sonny William Williams is a New Zealand heavyweight boxer, and a former professional rugby league and rugby union player.

He is only the second person to represent New Zealand in rugby union after first playing for the country in rugby league and is one of only 21 players to have won the Rugby World Cup twice.

Tim Mannah

Tim is a former Lebanon international rugby league footballer who played as a prop for the Parramatta Eels in the NRL.

He played for City NSW, New South Wales in the State of Origin series and the Prime Minister’s XIII.

Kate Munro

Kate is one of Australia’s preeminent house DJs, ruling dance floors both here and overseas.

She is known for her unique style and energy
behind the decks as well as drawing a crowd no matter where she is playing. Not because she is a female DJ or another blonde chick DJ. But because she is an awesome DJ. Kate Monroe’s name is synonymous with big arties locally having played at every major club and event in Australia.  Her overseas credentials are just as impressive, with her most recent stint touring the USA including a set at the legendary Winter Party in Miami. Kate regularly plays offshore gigs in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Kuala Lumpur.

Paddy McCartin

Paddy McCartin is an Australian Rules Football player who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of eight.

Patrick McCartin (born 19 April 1996) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Sydney Swans in the Australian Football League (AFL), having previously played for the St Kilda Football Club from 2015 to 2019. He was drafted as the number one pick in the 2014 AFL draft.
