Gifts in Wills

Leaving a gift in your Will ensures vital research can continue beyond your lifetime and help you leave a lasting legacy. We recommend talking with your Solicitor or Financial Planner who will ensure your estate plan is correct and your wishes are met. A few different ways to remember JDRF in your estate planning can be:

  • gifting a specific amount
  • gifting a percentage amount
  • gifting what is left – this is also known as a “gift of residue”
  • making a pledge – an undertaking to pay a certain sum of money within a specified period of time usually at regular intervals. Gifts can be paid through cash or stock gifts
  • setting up trusts and funds
  • life insurance or superannuation funds – these can be used to give money philanthropically.

Including a charitable gift in your will won’t impact your wealth during your lifetime but it will have a meaningful impact on the world after you’ve gone.
