Physical activity and exercise timing in T1D: Is there a better time to exercise?

Researchers at Murdoch University are looking for adults living with T1D to understand how the timing of physical activity can influence blood glucose levels. Participation in the study is through an online questionnaire that will take 20-30 minutes to complete.

JDRF advocates thanked parliamentary members for their dedication to the T1D community

JDRF’s advocacy team had the wonderful opportunity to visit Parliament House and personally say thank you to two amazing people: the retiring Member for Grey, Rowan Ramsey, (LIB) and the Member for Moreton, Graham Perrett (ALP). We were proud to express our gratitude on behalf of the entire T1D community and presented them with a little gift from their advocates.

Together, Rowan and Graham have been dedicated champions for over 15 years as long-serving members and Co-Chairs of the Parliamentary Friends of Diabetes. This special interest group is made up of Australian parliamentarians from all parties who come together to support people living with diabetes, including those with T1D. Their work includes raising awareness through parliamentary events, improving policies that impact those with diabetes, and backing important research to help find better treatments and a cure for diabetes.

Their commitment and leadership have made a huge difference in the lives of so many in the diabetes community, especially those living with T1D. Rowan and Graham’s work will continue to inspire advocacy for years to come, and we’re incredibly grateful for everything they’ve done. Their passion and support have truly left a lasting impact.

“I was so excited to travel Canberra and see Mr Perrett my MP, he showed me lots of places in Parliament House and I got to shake hands with the Prime Minister!”
– JDRF Advocate, Charlotte

“I went on a big plane and saw my mate Rowan in his big office, I liked his hat!”
– JDRF Advocate, Fletcher
