Type 1 Strong: two pilots who live with T1D share their stories
Join pilots Captain Ben Sive and Dr Jeremy Robertson for an inspiring conversation about their lives with type 1 diabetes (T1D).
Jeremy was a successful pilot when he was diagnosed with T1D; Ben was in training to become one.
With both men grounded, they looked at other career options. Jeremy even became a doctor.
But with changes to laws, and a lot of determination, both men are back in the skies and doing what they love. Ben even made history as the first person with T1D to become an airline pilot in Australia.
Ben and Jeremy joined us for the 2023 Type 1 Summit, when they shared their stories with a fascinated audience.
Listen to what they had to say about the challenges they’ve faced, how they manage their roles while living with T1D, and who inspires them today.
