Workplace Giving
Workplace Giving is a simple yet impactful way to help move towards a world without type 1 diabetes.
You can make a regular, tax-deductible donation to JDRF Australia either through your employer’s payroll system or a dedicated workplace giving platform.
How Workplace Giving benefits your company
Effortless giving with pre-tax salary contributions
No need to gather and submit receipts for year-end tax refunds; workplace giving contributes directly from your pre-tax salary. You can choose to give as much or as little as you like.
Cost-efficient contributions through pre-tax income
Donating from your pre-tax income provides immediate tax benefits, reducing the overall expense of your contribution. For example, a $20 donation will only cost you $12.60 but we receive the full $20.
Fostering team unity through Workplace Giving
Workplace giving unites employees in supporting chosen charities. Employers often match donations or provide a fixed amount, amplifying the impact and elevating staff morale.
How to give to JDRF Australia through your workplace
→ Existing workplace giving programs:
If your organisation already has a workplace giving program, ask your payroll department to deduct your chosen amount from your pre-tax salary and request that it go to JDRF Australia. If JDRF Australia is not currently a nominated charity at your workplace, you can request it be added. Some workplaces also use third party platforms like Workplace Giving Australia, GoodCompany or Benevity. These help businesses establish a workplace giving program and makes it easy for employees to give to their preferred charity.
JDRF Australia is registered with all three of these providers however the use of a third-party platform does incur a small fee.
→ Starting a workplace giving program:
If your workplace doesn’t currently have a workplace giving program, contact your Human Resources or Payroll department and ask to begin one, and for JDRF Australia to be nominated as a charity partner.
Workplace Giving Australia, GoodCompany and Benevity are available to support with establishing a workplace giving program.
