Make 2006 the
Year that you Join the Search for a Cure
The Juvenile
Diabetes Research Foundation is delighted to offer our members and
supporters a range of stimulating and rewarding volunteer opportunities.
Founded 24 years
ago by parents who were determined to create a better life for their
children, the JDRF is very proud of its strong grassroots.
Volunteers are
crucial to every level of the organisation. The volunteer Board
of Directors contributes to all high-level strategic decisions.
The Lay Review Panel makes decisions about research funding. And
our offices could not operate without the support of the small number
of dedicated volunteers who join our teams every week.
Please find
following descriptions of the roles for which we are currently seeking
volunteers. New opportunities arise regularly, so check back again
soon.
Join

Youth Ambassadors
Through the
JDRF Youth Ambassador program, children and teens (2 16 years)

Youth Ambassadors are meeting with politicians, appearing on television
and featuring in fundraising and awareness raising campaigns.
Our existing
Youth Ambassadors have found there are a lot of other benefits as
well. Personal development opportunities include working as a team
and increased confidence in public speaking. Youth Ambassadors learn
skills that they will use for the rest of their lives and at the
